Sewer Line Repair and Replacement
The underground pipe that connects a home to the main city sewer or a private septic system. Ownership of the lateral within city limits can vary based on each local municipality. Sewer laterals often make up more than half of the pipe in some systems. Unfortunately, the privately owned underground section of a lateral is often taken for granted until a problem erupts that can’t be ignored — such as raw sewage backing up into a home.
A number of things can compromise a sewer lateral. Foreign substances or objects flushed down a toilet can sometimes create a clog. Tree roots can push through the side of a lateral or over time, a very old sewer lateral pipe can simply corrode and crack.
Works Plumbing has many years of experience in working with sewer laterals. We have successfully installed new sewer laterals for new home construction as well as installed replacement laterals on existing homes and repaired existing laterals.
If you suspect an issue with your sewer lateral call Works Plumbing to have an expert check out your situation.
